SAINT LOUIS, Missouri, AUGUST 10TH, 2022

STAT Medical, a burgeoning diagnostic testing company based in St. Louis, MO has launched its first line of product with a series of simple at-home allergy test kits that allow individuals to screen themselves for a large range of common food and respiratory allergies with a single finger prick — from the comfort of their own homes.  With the help and guidance of renowned medical expert Dr. Omar Ahmed, these kits are now available and brought to market by career entrepreneur, Founder & CEO Elizabeth Kayser, Esq.

The Allergy and Asthma Foundation of America estimates that over 50 million Americans are plagued by allergies, with the vast majority of those being either respiratory/outdoor allergies or food allergies. While that’s a staggering number, it is believed that there is a similar-if-not-larger number of individuals living with an undiagnosed allergy. While people view allergies as simply a minor annoyance in their daily lives, left untreated, chronic allergies can lead to such outcomes as asthma, insomnia, mood disorders, inflammation, and a higher risk of ear, nose, throat, and lung infections.

Traditional allergy tests require making an appointment, visiting a phlebotomist, and undergoing a test in which allergens are either injected under the skin or a large blood draw is taken intravenously. Lastly, not all allergy tests are covered by health insurance providers and can end up costing the patient what can be up to thousands of dollars, depending on the type of test. These steps create barriers to those patients getting the diagnoses and subsequent treatment they require to achieve an optimal quality of life.

STAT Medical aims to democratize allergy testing by providing at-home testing kits that don’t require insurance, are affordable for the vast majority of Americans, and use a simple lancet to extract a drop of blood that tests for over 36 specific respiratory allergens and 44 food allergens. The test kits are mailed to one of STAT Medical’s partner labs, and within 5-7 days, the patients can log in to a convenient online portal to receive their results and soon will be able to communicate with a clinician regarding next steps. Kayser’s overall goal is to put the power of healthcare back in the hands of individuals.

While allergy tests are STAT Medical’s first foray into the at-home healthcare space, Kayser sees a not-so-distant future in which the company offers a wide array of products. STAT Medical is currently developing tests for cardiovascular health, thyroid health, sleep and stress issues, vitamin D deficiency, environmental pollutants, and perhaps most importantly, a cholesterol & diabetes screening test.  This cholesterol & diabetes screening test has been marked by many in the medical community as a paramount step in combating the ill affects of the American diet and lifestyle.

STAT Medical is entering an industry that is primed to continue its rapid growth throughout the foreseeable future. According to MarketWatch, the global direct-to-consumer laboratory testing market is projected to expand at a compound annual growth rate of 25.9% over the next eight years and is predicted to progress past $7.5 billion as an industry — up from $4.62 billion in 2021. STAT Medical has designs on using it’s product offerings to enter the world of concierge medicine and self-insured employers to be able to provide a suite of tests and panels to it’s customers on-demand, putting healthcare in the hands of individuals — not health conglomerates and insurance companies.

STAT Medical is a digital health platform that provides advanced home-based clinical lab tests with physician oversight to empower people to take control of their health. Some of our tests include food allergy, respiratory allergy, combined allergy, thyroid, female hormone, male wellness, lipid cholesterol, vitamin deficiencies, and diabetes.

While many Americans love the outdoors, hundreds of thousands are unable to enjoy it because of allergies. What's worse, is that many have no idea what's causing their runny nose, itchy eyes, and sore throats.

STAT Medical aims to change that by democratizing allergy testing for the masses at an affordable price. Gone are the days of office visits, intravenous blood draws, and massive out-of-pocket expenses simply for you to know what's causing your allergies.
